In 2006, the company opened its doors to authors from all over the archipelago, giving as much credence to new voices as to established prizewinners. The company has several advocacies. As an active member of the National Book Development Board, it believes publishers have a duty to: 1.) produce literature that will promote Filipino culture and aid in nation building; 2.) use local materials and services to stimulate growth of complementing industries; and 3.) provide gainful employment and just compensation. Cozy Reads has championed Philippine literature by attending international book fairs (Singapore, Manila) and by initiating trade market dialogues abroad (USA, Australia). It also partnered with the Philippine Breast Cancer Network to increase awareness and to encourage pro-active support for the eradication of the disease.
